I get that it is pretty high mileage, but at BRL28,600/$8,600 it is way too low, most of them are double that or it has some serious internal issues. Maybe the seller does not know how rare those are here, I'm confused and I WANT THAT.

I didn't realize that the Real was represented as R$. Actually stared at it for a moment thinking Rand's Dollars? Da fuq? lol.

Not the sellers fault, they have preset names for all the cars, every single Subaru is listed as a V6.

There was no 4.0 engine in 1974. Nor was there a 24 valve motor, and definitely no V6. Seeing all the brand new leather in the cabin, i would say this is some kind of restoration / restomod project, and maybe they used a different engine, not Jaguar, hence the lower price.
As an aside: an original 4.2 XK unit that was in these could seriously drink petrol, so you might even be better off with another motor, it just won't be original.

Nah, too old for armoring.

There you have it!

Hm. The ad says all original, it's not a restomod then, or they just lie. No idea then, check it out maybe?

Hahahah BRL is the official thing I think, but we use R$

The V6 is the site's fault, they have mislabeled many 6 cylinder engines. The says it is all original, but then again, the leather seats look way too new.

Yes.

If it isn't too far from me maybe, but I'm still surprised with the price. I was considering this a few months ago when the dollar was low and money was easier to come by.

ugh a Series 2? Run away quickly. Though easily the most gorgeous of the XJ series in so many ways, this was the worst example of something the Brits ever screwed together with sheetrock screws (though that may have held longer)
And that is a series 1 in your cover photo, which is worth it all day long

Here these go for 16k in original/rough condition and 20k upwards in restored condition. 8k is a bargain if everything checks out, even for a Series 2.

Yeah, well that one looks original all right. XK up front, acres of leather and supple carpets in the cabin.... nice. I love these too, btw, so if you ever buy one, don't forget to tell us about it.

Nah, I couldn't, I'm already unsure if will be able to afford a replacement for one of the Citroens.
